What do flea bites look like on humans?
On human skin, a flea bite looks quite similar to that of other small insects such as a mosquito bite. It is usually identified as a red bump with a halo pattern around it and it can feel quite itchy.

For most people, flea bites are an unpleasant but manageable nuisance. The level of itchiness varies from person to person, and as long as you avoid excessive scratching, the bites will typically clear up on their own.
When to take action
Those with sensitive skin may experience an allergic reaction to flea bites. Excessive scratching can also lead to a skin infection – not caused by the flea directly, but still painful.
